How does this work?
New clients start with a basic email requesting the service they are looking for, co-operative care grooming or vet visits, behavior modification for all breeds and ages, apprenticeship program, or Pet first aid training.
We then book a consultation after the appropriate forms have been filled. During the consultation we discuss in depth the different ways we can change your dog’s life for the better.
Once the relationships have been established between the trainer, animal learner, and animal caregiver, we can discuss the different training packages available for the specific training goals.
-
This service focuses on a specific training goal: to have your pet cooperate during vet exams, grooming sessions, and everyday life. Imagine not only being able to wipe your dog’s paws, give them medication, and brush their teeth and fur calmly and efficiently, but they enjoy it.
Stress enormously impacts the nervous system; we know this from scientific studies on social animals with similar brains and endocrine systems. So if we can reduce the number of stressful events in a dog’s life, then we absolutely should!
This service is the field I have the most years of experience; it includes grooming when that is the goal. This means that when your pup is ready for grooming, we start trimming what we can within the scheduled time.
Yes, your dog might not be picture-perfect in the first few sessions, but progress is the goal, not perfection!
Aspects of collaborative care are included in all training plans, as it is an excellent foundation for trust between handler and canine companion.
Better veterinary visits are trained the same way, from general check-ups, blood draws, and vaccinations, to administering medications at home.
-
Is your pup struggling with everyday life? Do they bark, growl, or lunge at strangers? Maybe they’re stealing all your household items and destroying or consuming them.
All behaviors are considered modifiable. This includes the basics of obedience and the cases of living with an aggressive dog.
As someone who lives with a reactive dog, I have decided to specialize in this type of training. I love this profession because I can communicate with animals and help humans meet their needs.
-
Are you a busybody who wants the best care for your pet, but you’re struggling to fit in the time for training?
This service would be for you!
We would build a personalized plan to help with your specific situation, and I would come in 2 or 3 times a week for a 1hr session to help ease the stress and work on the appropriate behaviors we discussed in our consultation.
There will be transfer sessions with private coaching. This ensures that the behaviors are functional, with you holding the leash and cueing the behaviors.
-
Have you ever wanted to groom your dog? Has your dog been refused at groomers, or does it breaks your heart whenever you drop them off?
This service is offered as an apprenticeship program to help teach you and your dog how to communicate better.
I will teach you what tools to use, how to use them safely, and what products are best for your pet’s coat care, and I’m available for further coaching if necessary.
The training plans included have been practiced on multiple dogs with excellent results.
The investment made will set you both up for a life of successful grooming together!
This is not a professional certification program and is not suggested to be used as such. However, if you want to become a professional groomer, please be patient; a program tailored to that is on the way.

This 10hr certification is valid for three years. Walks’N’Wags is the longest-standing, vet-approved program in North America.
We will dive into medical conditions, poisons, parasites, CPR, injuries, traumas, and much more.
We have live dogs in the class to listen to heartbeats, respiratory, find pulses, and bandages!
We’ve got some fun and games, use all types of learning styles to keep everyone engaged, and provide snacks and drinks.
A limited number of dogs are allowed to participate in the class; please inform me of whether you would like to bring your pet; there are some restrictions for everyone’s safety.
Dogs don’t understand that they need to be groomed.
It can be a scary process and it takes time to build a relationship of trust and to learn the behaviors necessary to void injuries with the necessary tools.
For this reason, all grooming appointments must start with training, there are no exceptions.
